In the city of Charlottetown we found a blackboard wall and chalk on the wall of a building. The heading was "Before I Die I Want To....... Great idea and fun to read. Someone wanted to rule Russia, another wanted to LIVE! I'm with you on the latter. What a philosopher.
I was accosted earlier in the day by a druggy? With some mental health issues- now there's a surprising combination. He made a beeline for me on the pavement at full speed ready to barge me. His language was as good as any I have heard but a little limited in the invectives I felt, and he did use split infinitives . I couldn't tell if he used unnecessary commas but methinks he did.
Dinner was at the Institute of Culinary Arts on the water front. The meal was a "symphony of culinary delights," or "a fusion of colours, textures and tastes exploding on the tongue," or "a landscape of sensations to captivate the gourmand's imagination." It was ok, but as I have no knowledge of food or appreciation of finer dining it's a bit wasted on me. Needed tomato sauce or a bit of Barkers Mango and Peach Chutney! Graham has become a good cook so everything starts from that point and has to beat the flavours he can drum up. A compliment? From moi?
It was very hot in Charlottetown and there was a spectacular electrical storm last night which I watched for ages. The decorative fountain became the place for us to paddle. We persuaded Marian at age 88 to kick off her shoes and get wet. I think it's the naughtiest thing she has ever done.
So today it's on the road again. No time to smell the roses. Off like a dirty sock. Back to New Brunswick via the Hopewell Rocks which have the world's highest tides. Bless.
