Calgary

Howard and Jane's family live so close to Calgary city. It was great to walk around the city and to get a feel for the place. Surprisingly uncrowded.
No Cowboys, cowboy boots or hats and no stampede. It's a very green looking city though.
CrossIron Mill mall is the home of designer shops. Clearly there's money in them there hills. No one blinked an eyelid when I yelled,"I'm in Calgary!" Obviously used to Wild West carry on. Two days went in a flash. Thanks Kirsty and josh for looking after a kiwi whom no one can understand.
Josh and Kirsty actually get kiwi humour. They loved flight of the Concordes and Rhys Darby. Mind you I told them that we had hobbits in the hills and forests at home.
I took pineapple lumps, hokey pokey chocolate, peanut slabs and lemon and paeroa chocolate. Fair swap, for Reece's peanut butter cups. They talked a lot about Chicago mix which is a mix ( obviously) of caramel and butter popcorn. It's on my bucket list.
I've been in Canada for  over 2 weeks and had one small piece of red meat in a burger. The size of steaks they offer is like putting the poor beast on your plate. One day soon I shall find some red meat. Maybe the deer in the garden!!!,
